For larger frames that demand a true four-directional junction, the 4-way cross (Wood) brings together four timber beams at a single central point, with each beam entering from a different side at a right angle. Unlike the T-piece, which lets one beam pass through while a second branches off, the 4-way cross (Wood) creates a genuine crossing point, making it the connector of choice for grid layouts and lattice-style frameworks. It is available in four internal sizes: 52×52 mm, 62×62 mm, 70×70 mm, and 90×90 mm, with weight scaling up accordingly to match the load-bearing demands of larger structures.
Finishing follows the same options available across the Topclamp Wood range: a natural finish as standard, with anodized, chrome-plated, and nickel-plated alternatives available, plus any RAL color on request. Preferences can be specified in the order comments field at the time of ordering, giving builders control over whether the connector blends into the frame or stands out as a visual detail.
The 4-way cross (Wood) is especially well suited to decking grids, pergola lattices, and multi-directional garden structures where beams need to intersect at a shared point rather than simply meet at a corner or edge. It integrates with the wider Topclamp Wood system for building more complex frame geometries.
